Over the coming year, Sir John Soane’s Museum will host an exhibition of acclaimed artist Bouke de Vries’ response to Hogarth’s A Rake’s Progress, a celebration of five architects’ houses in London, and a display of Georgian illuminations, which will also see the façade of the Museum on Lincoln’s Inn Fields illuminated by light artist Nayan Kulkarni.
Additionally, the Architecture Drawing Prize winners and shortlisted entries will be exhibited at the Museum in February. Later in the year, the recipient of the sixth Soane Medal will be announced, following the announcement of Peter Barber as the 2022 recipient at a ceremony and lecture earlier in November.

As this year’s restoration works draw to a close, 2023 will mark the opening of Soane’s architectural Drawing Office, the oldest surviving example of its kind. Artists and makers will be able to take inspiration from the architectural design and collection as part of two three-month residencies, during the Spring and the Autumn. Further details about the Drawing Office will be announced in early 2023.
